Shin Megami Tensei IV Review - Geimaku

Added: 16.07.2013 18:16 | 14 views | 0 comments

Geimaku: "For those who lived under a rock, Shin Megami Tensei is Atluss flagship franchise dating back to the Super Famicom. The series first Western release however was its spinoff series Persona but the first entry was terribly translated and so changed that it barely resembled its source material. The West got its first taste of the main series with Nocturne and despite rave reviews I just could not get into it and in fact that turned me off the series until Persona 3 came out."

Diehard GameFAN: Shin Megami Tensei IV Review

Added: 15.07.2013 13:16 | 11 views | 0 comments

DHGF: Shin Megami Tensei IV finally releases on the Nintendo 3DS after almost a decade since the last main entry arrived on the PlayStation 2. The plot is both dark and thematically interesting, equipped with multiple routes and endings to unlock. Its also quite challenging, though an easier difficulty setting, an included strategy guide, and helpful tutorials help bridge newcomers rather nicely. The Press Turn system is as enjoyable as ever with the new smirk ability, and you will find yourself engulfed in demon fusion before you even realize whats happening. A few things hold the experience back slightly, such as an unhelpful overworld map and demon recruitment that feels like its based too much around luck. Still, the quality of the core experience manages to eclipse any shortcomings, making Shin Megami Tensei IV a worthwhile addition to any RPG library.

Shin Megami Tensei IV (Nintendo 3DS) Review - JPS

Added: 15.07.2013 12:16 | 16 views | 0 comments

"The Shin Megami Tensei tiles have been one of Atlus most treasured series that up until now, the company continues to make games where fans always support them. Ever since Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne was released, many fans have been asking when will the fourth game in the SMT series be out? Ten years following the release of Nocturne, Atlus finally decided to bring the fourth game in the series that I must say, lives up to the tradition of the Shin Megami Tensei titles that fans have played. For newcomers to the SMT franchise, dont think this game as a Persona title as its somewhat different." - JPS

Most fans of Atlus Shin Megami Tensei series wont be able to set foot into the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado until the hotly anticipated fourth entry in the series is released on Tuesday. However, that doesnt mean you cant take your desktop to that demon-infested land of adventure and intrigue in the meantime.
